i forgot i haven't downloaded my pictures off my camra....tomorrow. but it was a wonderful time. heidi was amazing the projects were beautiful and do-able. we had food! and everyone worked on projects. lots of products to shop for....a whole little store. thank you to everyone who came!
i was able to order the quickutz new releases for everyone with the exception of only 2 products....they are trying to even get the recipe set for us....6 of them. i will see on monday if they found some.

i am so excited....i love great falls and miss it and all my friends.....
have u ever felt like you are living in a fog...alway tired and confused it is hard to do things. so hard when you are use to going hard all day...well that is how i have felt since the fire. it has been a long road to feeling better. hind sight is always better than forsight....i tried to do too much to soon after the fire. I did not realize just how sick i was...the doctor's tried to tell me it could take 6 months to come out of the shock but i did not want to believe i was in shock. all the medecine had to take to combat issues + stress caused my diabetes out of control. they have adjusted my meds 2-3 times....i did not realize how bad till i finally had a day with blood sugar under 200 (perfect is 100 and mine were in the 300's) in 4+ months...it felt like the sun was shining i had energy my mind was sharper than it has been since may. I have more tests to go through to check for permanent damage then they will do another meds adjustment...the doc told me to understand that i could be completely insulin dependent in 4 weeks if the next adjustment doesn't bring the sugars down. why am i telling this? because for the last 5 months i have tried to cope and continue to work...i have always been a private person but i think sometimes it is good to open up. I was so energized thursday when it was finally 147 i called dave and just wanted to cry...i felt like i had just woken from a long long sleep....i had the energy to work on ideas ...the sad side--i only had a week left to retreat. so i don't have 1/2 done what i wish i had done. so i will just keep plugging along and enjoy the journey instead of striving for perfection. enjoy the time we will have together enjoy the fun new products...enjoy heidi's inspiration.....

time and season project
I can tell you this: I am TOTALLY addicted to alcohol inks. (my name is heidi, and I’m an alcoholinkaholic..LOL ok, sorry). So, I have been thinking and experimenting and playing with them, and I am amazed it’s taken me so long to give them a chance. Anyway… so these are just some of the products we’ll be using on this project entitled “Time and Season”.
This project is about the NOW; it’s about documenting what it is that make this ‘time and season’ beautiful, unique and focusing on the best part. (i still have a few finishing touches to add...)
I have always loved the imagery of the ‘plum blossoms’ in oriental art… and when I learned a little more about what the ‘plum blossom’ symbolized, I knew that I wanted to do something that would represent that… in China, the plum blossom is the very first sign of spring. Before any leaves are on the trees, and usually under a blanket of snow, the flowers of the plum (more like an apricot I think) tree bloom and defy the cold, and against all odds thrive in the worst circumstances. Throughout generations, these little blossoms have symbolized ‘resilience, perseverance in the face of adversity…courage and an undaunted spirit.’ I love that metaphor, and as so many of us are facing changes and challenges, I think it’s important to bloom beautifully despite harsh conditions… that is what this project is all about! We’ll be using “clear paper” by Bazzill and the alcohol inks to create the cover… and the book is filled with beautiful Scenic Route paper, i added in some of my clear extras and even some of my "invisibles" chipboard- i have been hoarding some just for this project. i will be teaching this project in Great Falls, Montana on Oct. 24th
